This week host Scott MacMullan talks to Mike Lofton, the Anne Arundel County Water Access Committee Chair. Mike is a longtime Annapolis who grew up fishing and enjoying the Chesapeake Bay. Mike and Scott discuss how the Bay has changed over the years. Anne Arundel County has 533 miles of waterfront but negligible public water access on most of its rivers. Mike talks about the current water access points in Annapolis; environment justice and access for people of limited means; and water quality issues. Mike focuses on letting the public know about the County's current water access sites and advocating for more access points so that we all can enjoy the Bay.
