The Annapolis Podcast

Mar 13, 2017

This week host Scott MacMullan interviews Sandy Smolnicky. Sandy is a substance abuse prevention specialist at the Anne Arundel County Department of Health (her views are her own and separate from Anne Arundel County), President of Dockside Solutions and is a current applicant for The Anne Arundel County School Board. Scott first met Sandy when he was chairing an event for the Annapolis Human Relations Commission regarding opioid and heroin abuse. Sandy was a part of the "Not My Child" panel at this event held at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center. "Not My Child" is an awareness initiative about the dangers of heroin and opioid abuse in our communities. Specifically in this episode, Sandy talks about the Opioid epidemic as it applies to Annapolis and to Annapolis schools. Please take a listen to this important episode and tell a friend about. The next "Not My Child" event is at the Edgewater Community Library on March 21, 2017: Event Information Link
