Jeff Holland is the current west river and rhode riverkeeper. He is the former executive director of the Annapolis Maritime Museum and he drafted the Declaration of Maritime Republic of Eastport. Things that we discussed, included:

Annapolis maritime history (he was the long time Annapolis Maritime Museum Executive Director),

Oysters and Chesapeake Bay water quality monitoring;

Captain John Smith;

The struggling Chesapeake Watermen;

Why is Annapolis called the Sailing Capital of America? (The answer might surprise you.);

As a famous chesapeake poet, Jeff recites the poem:

"Muskrat Green: The Greatest Oyster Eater The World Has Ever Seen!"
